Terms of Service

Plain-English terms. If anything here is unclear, email us before you rely on it — we would rather explain than argue.

1. Who we are

Aptiora is operated by S & D Company Pty Ltd ("Aptiora", "we", "us"), an Australian company based in Sydney, New South Wales. Our contact address is [email protected]. These terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using aptiora.jisoolo.com (the "Service") you accept them.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 to create a parent, teacher or partner account. Students under 18 use the Service through a child account created by a parent, guardian or partner organisation (see section 3).
• Keep your password, one-time codes and child PINs confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
• Give us accurate contact details — we use your email for sign-in codes, receipts and security notices, and we cannot help you recover an account we cannot reach.
• One person per account. Partner and teacher accounts are for the organisation or educator named on them.

3. Children and parental consent

Aptiora is designed to be used by school-age students, many of them under 13. We only ever create a child account at the request of an adult who confirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian (or an authorised school/tutoring partner acting with the parent's consent).

• By creating a child account you consent, on the child's behalf, to the collection and use of the child's data described in our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the child account from Account → Children, or by emailing us.
• Child accounts have no email address, no payment ability and no messaging. A child signs in with a User ID and PIN issued to the parent.
• Parents can see every test a child takes, reset PINs and receive a weekly progress digest.

4. Plans, passes and payment

• Free plan. New accounts receive a Premium trial (currently 14 days) at no cost and with no payment details. When it ends the account moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is ever charged unless you choose a paid plan.
• Prepaid, never auto-renewing. Basic and Premium plans are prepaid for one month or one year through PayPal. They do not renew automatically; we email you before your access ends so you can renew if you wish. All-Access Passes and exam bundles are one-off purchases for a fixed period.
• Prices. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. The price shown at checkout is the price charged; promotional codes apply once per account.
• Additional children. The first child on a plan is included. Each further child (up to four) is billed at the per-child rate shown at checkout, prorated for the time left in your current period.
• Usage limits. Each plan has fair-use limits (tests per day, week and month; AI-generated tests per month) shown on the Pricing page and inside the product. Limits exist to keep the service fast for everyone and may be adjusted with notice.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. In short: a full refund within 14 days of any first purchase, on request, no questions asked; after that prepaid periods are non-refundable but never renew. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• share accounts, resell access, or scrape, copy or redistribute questions, explanations or other content;
• attempt to bypass plan limits, security controls or payment;
• upload or submit unlawful, abusive or infringing material through contact or feedback forms;
• use the Service to cheat in an actual examination, or in any way that breaches your school's or examining body's rules.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Where practical we will warn you first.

7. Content, accuracy and AI

• Questions on Aptiora are written by educators or generated by AI and aligned to published curricula. We review and correct content continuously, but we do not guarantee that every question, answer or explanation is error-free. Please use the "Report question" button when something looks wrong.
• Aptiora is a practice tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for any school, examining authority or official examination, including the NSW Selective High School Placement Test, OC placement test, NAPLAN or the HSC.
• Scores, streaks, mastery levels and predictions are indicators to guide practice, not guarantees of real-exam results.
• All content, software and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them through the Service.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from exam outcomes, service interruptions, or content errors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes guarantees, rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes, termination and contact

• We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept them.
• You may close your account at any time from Account → Privacy, or by emailing us. We delete or de-identify personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
